Full of expectation

So you meet them

With equal energy

Greet them

Feel connected

And walk by

Others

Engrossed in conversation

Don’t notice you

Or fire out a greeting

Whilst they talk by

Then there are the solitary

Silent ones

Should you say hello

Or just let them go?

Some don’t see you

Or are too shy

Others display surprise

That someone has said Hi!

Others look you in the eye

Full of expectation

So you meet them

With equal energy

Greet them

And feel connected

So much to see

In nature...
