Load of Rubbish

Why, when somebody talks a load of rubbish, do we call it bullshit?
In the States, I'm told it's horseshit
You probably have to be at least sixty and very British to call it balderdash
I wonder if anybody, anywhere says "what a load of rabbit droppings!"
Somebody should
A single rabbit can poop over one hundred droppings in a day
Isn't that about the daily amount of rubbish we all say?
