Screw you!
by Elizabeth Challinor
Comfortable in his office chair
Without a care for anybody
Who ever thought
A tiny screw would screw him up
While he wheeled across the office floor
From desk to bookcase
Pulling out files
Screwing over whoever came through his door?
Who ever thought a tiny screw
Unscrewing while he wheeled and dealed
Would seal his fate
To see him sprawling on the pathetic floor
Could his customers ask for more?
The poetic justice of the silent screw!
Thanks to Sriram for providing me with the motivation to screw the lid off my inspiration.
