Out of the depths

Out of the depths

by Elizabeth Challinor

In the deep dark depths of depression

A crack

A flickering light

A rope pulling me upwards

Adventure explodes in my face

"Surrender," whispers the flow

I dive into variety

Hedonism boiling in my veins

And slowly melt into moderation

In translucent rivers of tranquility
